RESCUED
He awoke with a start, what time it was, he had no clue. All he knew was that this wasn't where he went to sleep. They had moved him again throughout the night. He looked around the dully lit room in confusion. 'Where have they trashed me now?' The room had little to no light but he could clearly see a metal door off to his left.
"Hello!" He called out, his voice echoed through the large empty room. When there was no response he struggled to his feet and flinched at the pain that shot down his spine. He went to limp over to the door when he heard a chain jingling behind him. Against his better judgement, he looked back and noticed a chain around his left ankle that pinned him to the floor with a meters way so he could stretch, but do next to nothing else. A growl left his chest as he glared at the metal ring the chain was attached too. 'Stupid kid nappers, they could at least let me walk around the room.' He looked at his bleeding ankle and sighed. (Kura... Kura can you hear me?) He awaited a response but none came. 'He still can't hear me...' He shivered as a cold draft drifted under the door that locked him in his dark confinement. He looked towards the door and through the metal bars In the small window he saw 2 eyes, glowing in the darkness on the other side of the door. The door opened with a sickening creak and a body slid into the dark room, the exit closing behind it.
“You still long for him don’t you?” The deep voice asked and the young male glared at the figure, not blessing him with an answer. “He will never find you here, no matter how hard you wish. He will not be able to follow us, we have moved multiple times in the past two days you've been out and he would have a hard time finding us before we move again tomorrow.”
The defiant look on the teen’s face made the figure before him smirk, and they locked in an intense stare. The younger looked away from the elders eyes, annoyed at himself for turning away first.
“Ryou.” The figure sneered as he gripped Ryou’s chin forcing the teen to look him in the eyes.
“Father.” Ryou growled back, he was half tempted to bite the oafs hand, but he refrained, and instead, glared at the man with all his hatred.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
He stood before the large building, his eyes gleaming with hatred as he held the cross on the chain around his neck tightly in his shaking hand.
“I'm coming for you Hikari.” He growled as his hand clenched tighter around the cross, blood trickled out of his fist and he hissed with barely restrained anger, with his words said, he rushed the door releasing a deep howl.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ryou’s father broke their eye contact as he looked to the door as footsteps echoed throughout the building, morphing from heavy boots to the clicking of claws. His eyes dulled slightly in fear.
“How you underestimate him.” Ryou chuckled before threw his head back and released what one would call, a howl of agony. ‘The more in pain he thinks I am, the faster he will come.’ He yelped lightly in shock as a large hand covered his mouth, one that didn't belong to his father.
“Wait with him and keep him quiet.” Ryou’s father hissed out and a grunt of affirmation came from the body behind Ryou. “That bastard will finally die tonight.” He growled before he forced Ryou into an unwanted kiss. “You be good while I'm gone.” He whispered as he rubbed his thumb against Ryou’s cheek, almost affectionately.
He then took off through the open door as another howl rang through the building.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
“Ryou!” Bakura called out as he slunk through the empty building. “Where are you Hikari!”
A creek came from a room he had passed.
“Kura…” The muffled voice of his young love drifted from the room and he wasted no time in moving. The sound of his claws clicking on the pavement again morphed into the heavy steps of his boots. He threw the door open and ran inside. The room was empty and he looked around anxious, worried and confused.
“Ryou?” He called out, more quietly and got no response.
The door swung shut and what sounded like bolts locked it in place.
“I’m afraid I can’t let you leave wolf.” Ryou’s father hissed out and Bakura’s human form faded, his fangs bared as his blue eyes shone with such ferocity that Ryou’s father actually backed up slightly out of fright.
“Where is my Hikari?” He snarled and despite being scared, Ryou’s father laughed.
“My son is contained, he was never yours.” Bakura growled at how his Hikari was being contained but then his muzzle formed a smirk.
“He came to me. He found me. Not the other way around.” He said emphasising key words.
Ryou’s father frowned before glaring at the wolf.
“It was you. You tricked him. He’s a good boy and would never betray or disobey me. So don’t you ever imply that he has. It’s you and your mind tricks, you messed him up!”
“I never forced him into anything!” Bakura growled out and a gunshot rang throughout the building.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ryou ceased his struggles against the man holding him and looked at the door.
“Kura…” He whispered before he started struggling tenfold. “Bakura!”
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
His claws clicked lightly against the cement as he landed on the other side of the room. Distracted slightly by his lovers call he only just dodged the second shot, the bullet grazing his hip as he leapt out of the way. He looked up at Ryou’s father who stood where he once was, gun pointed at the ready. ‘Where did he pull that from.’
“Release my mate and I won’t have to harm you.” Bakura growled and the man laughed. “What’s so funny?” He snarled and Ryou’s father smirked.
“The fact that you think he is your mate. Besides the fact it is sick, he doesn't love you. You've just confused him, once I take care of you he will return to my side again.” The man laughed again but stopped at Bakura’s next words.
“You’re delusional if you think taking me out of the picture will make him love you. He never did, not before he found me and certainly not after I am gone. Taking me from him will only accomplish one thing, it will make his already simmering hatred for you explode.” Bakura smirked at the frown that crossed the man’s face.
“Well there’s only one way to find out huh?” The man laughed and another gunshot rang throughout the building.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ryou glared up at the man who was ordered to hold him with a ferocity that scared the guard.
“If he dies, it’s your head.” The younger growled and the man almost backed off, but instead he slammed Ryou’s wrists into the ground, snapping the fragile bones. The younger cried out from the pain, squeezing his eyes shut to try and block it out.
“We shall see.” The guard laughed and Ryou could only whimper in response.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Bakura’s head shot up at Ryou’s cry and he failed to dodge the next bullet which buried deep within his shoulder and his yelp echoed throughout the room.
